Dozens of computer monitors in Indonesia’s parliament gave politicians and journalists something of a shock when they started showing a porn website.

The touchscreen monitors outside the press room, normally used by visitors to get information about the parliamentary agenda and other political issues, instead cut to thehardcore pornographic images from an adult website.
It was fifteen minutes before officials managed to turn the porn off, local media reported.
Exactly how the porn got onto the screens is a matter for some debate.
House Secretary-General Nining Indra said the unwanted interruption was probably caused by someone trying to access a porn site on the computer system.
Democratic Party legislator Roy Suryo suggested that it had been caused by someone saving the images from the porn site and then uploading them to the parliamentary website – adding: ‘It’s not a funny incident.’
House Speaker Marzuki Alie, meanwhile, theorised that the porn’s appearance was a deliberate and malicious act, saying: ‘Whoever hacked the screens is insolent and will be reported to the authorities.’
Possibly related to the porn is the fact that authorities have been trying to crack down on porn ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, with an August 11 deadline being put in place for ISPs to start blocking online pornography.
